'EVE RALLY' 2013 - A FEW WORDS AND A FEW PICS.....

EVE OF ALL-IRELAND RALLY : BRIEF REPORT , SOME PICS AND MORE TO FOLLOW....

A member of the RSF Colour Party , Des Dalton and Cait Trainor at the Eve Rally , Saturday 21st September 2013.

Republican Sinn Féin Poblachtach held a very successful Annual Eve of the All-Ireland Rally in O'Connell Street in Dublin on Saturday 21st September 2013 , in unexpectedly hot weather , with hundreds of people stopping to observe the proceedings.

The event was Chaired by RSF Ard Chomhairle member Cait Trainor and RSF President , Des Dalton , delivered a brief speech during the proceedings , in which he mentioned ,to loud applause, that the trade union movement should be more active in this tough financial climate in fighting to , at the very least, maintain the living standards and working conditions of its members.

The Rally had formed-up at about 1.30pm at the Garden of Remembrance in Parnell Square and left there at 1.45pm , with an unrequested and unnecessary State Garda 'escort' , and marched down O'Connell Street to the GPO , where a crowd had already gathered as, indeed , had another Garda 'escort' , comprising both uniformed and plain clothed members of the State 'security service' but , despite that provocation, the event was trouble-free , save for the usual low-level interference (name , address etc) from that 'service'.

Finally , for now , a 'snapper' snapped at the Rally -

- and we will have a few more words and pics ready for Wednesday night (25th September 2013) , and something to say about an 'incident' that occurred about half an hour before the Rally ended , which directly affected myself and three other people....

Thanks for reading, Sharon.
